SnowBugs are pleased to introduce you to your Nanny, Niamh...

We would like to introduce you to Niamh, the latest Nanny to join the SnowBugs team. Niamh will be covering La Tania and Courchevel from February 2018 through to the end of the season and we’re super excited to have her on board.

Niamh is a friend of a friend… Our wonderful Nanny Alice met her when they worked together in the USA for summer camp 2 years ago, and when a new position to be a SnowBugs Nanny became available, Niamh was instantly recommended as the perfect person to join our team of amazing Nannies.

Immediately we could see why….! Not only is Niamh a professional and organised person, she has the exact attitude, warm personality and brilliant experience that we look for at SnowBugs Private Nannies. We are proud to welcome her on board and can’t wait for you to meet her!

Niamh Says:

“Hi! I’m Niamh and I’m from Dublin, Ireland.

I am a recent college graduate with a degree in History and Sociology and have a passion to work with children. I would say I am a fun-loving person who loves to stay active, with a love for many different kinds of sports. You will always find me out and about looking to try something new and exciting!

For the past 6 years I have been teaching and coaching children of all ages and abilities in a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball and martial arts. Throughout this time I have taught in both Ireland and New York. In New York I was working at a children’s summer camp (which is where I met SnowBugs Nanny Alice). Here I worked very closely with children between the ages of 6-16. My primary role was to supervise, care for and guide young children throughout their time in camp. I found it very important to be friendly, approachable and fun with the children during my time at camp; I felt by doing this I was allowing the children to get the best out of their experience, and most importantly do what they came to do… have fun! And that is exactly what I intend on doing this year with SnowBugs!

As well as teaching, I also worked as a Private Nanny for three young boys for almost two years. When I started they were between the ages of 4 months and 7 years old. My main role with the family was to ensure that the day to day essentials for the children were met along with providing them with a fun filled day, packed with activities and play that allowed the children to express their creativity and show their own individual personalities, all the while ensuring that the children’s daily routines were not disrupted on the days that I was their primary carer.

One of my favourite activities is to spend time with my Nieces and Nephews and I will take this opportunity as much as I can. I often care for them to help my brothers and sisters and have done literally since they were born! I have had the pleasure in caring for my Nephew since he was just a few days old, and it’s really helped me gain more experience across all ages of children. Their imaginations and creativity make each day with them exciting and different which is exactly what I love about working with children. Having such young children in my life has allowed me to find my inner kid, which honestly, I’m not sure ever really left!

I cannot wait to meet all the amazing children that will be visiting us in the mountains this year and I am extremely excited to finish the winter season with SnowBugs Nannies. See you soon!”
